The office will focus primarily on General Cargo and solutions for the Oil & Gas sector and the opening is a step towards a further strengthening of Blue Water's business and development.
Mr. Helio Esteves is appointed Country Manager for the activities in Portugal. He is Portuguese and has worked in the industry for 15 years. Helio's great track record is proven with strong results and continuous development of the current business specialising in the transport and logistics industry in Portugal.
"The extensive worldwide network of offices and competences in Blue Water is a strong foundation for the office in Lisbon. With this set-up, we feel well-equipped to provide both existing and new clients here with good transport solutions", says Helio Esteves.
In addition to Hélio Esteves, seven experienced employees also join the initial team, focusing on the local clients' needs and working hard to be consistent with Blue Water's Best in Town strategy: To be close to local clients and offer top class transport solutions.
"Portugal is a very interesting market which has many opportunities. Our business plan is to offer a strong local presence and solutions of high quality, just like the rest of the Blue Water organisation does all over the world. We firmly believe that the team in Portugal headed by Helio Esteves will help us gain a foothold on the market and further strengthen our organisation", says Dan Nissen, Global Managing Director Oil, Gas & Industrial Projects.
