Project logistics is developing
In the beginning of August 2015, Blue Water Singapore shipped two heavy units weighing more than 1,300 metric tons each on the weather deck of the MV ''BBC Aquamarine''
The planning and cooperation between the vessel and shipyard crew was the main factor of a successful discharge operation
The units were safely loaded with the assistance of a floating crane in Singapore. After the sea-fastening was completed, the vessel departed for its 30 day long voyage to Brazil.
The MV ''BBC Aquamarine'' arrived in Brazil on the 11th of September 2015 as planned. She berthed under a mega gantry crane and her cargo was safely discharged at a shipyard.
The vessel berthing and offloading of the first 1,300MT unit needed to be performed during the high tide. As such, the planning and cooperation between the vessel and shipyard crew was the main factor of a successful discharge operation'', says Sebastian Schilde, Project Manager at Blue Water Singapore.
The transportation was executed in close cooperation with BBC Chartering and Blue Water's offices in Singapore and Rio de Janeiro.
