Bridge building project in Ghana
The demands for aid & relief services are increasing and Blue Water is ready to help wherever needed
Blue Water's Aid & Relief Logistics team visited the Women Deliver 2016 Conference held in Copenhagen earlier this year.
"The conference is focusing on girls' and women's rights and not least health. We attended the conference to show all the NGOs and humanitarian organisations that we can help them bring in shipments to rather difficult locations to help the many people who are affected by natural disasters, conflicts and high-risk diseases", says Johnny Mortensen, who is Head of Aid & Relief Logistics at Blue Water.
The handling of local procedures, such as SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) as well as contact to agents and consignees can make the difference between success and failure. Blue Water has Aid & Relief specialists with industry know-how and experience from projects all over the world and the team is truly committed.
"We have spent many hours and had many meetings with local agents in Africa among other places. The purpose was to streamline our set-up and understand the local requirements and rules. Ultimately, this gives our clients the best service which is our most important achievement", says Johnny Mortensen.
