Kim and Johnny on top of Africa

Kim Beier and Johnny Mortensen, Blue Water colleagues from Esbjerg and Billund respectively, both shared a long-cherished desire to climb the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro

Mount Kilimanjaro, with its three volcanic cones, is a dormant volcano in Tanzania rising 5,895 metres (19,341 ft) above sea level. The mountain was formed as part of Rift Valley approx. half a million years ago.

Since 1889, people who love adventure and big challenges have climbed the mountain -and they now include our two colleagues.

After some tough and strenuous days, Kim Beier reached the mountain top at the start of the year and last week Johnny Mortensen made it to the top of Africa to enjoy the magnificent view and the rising sun.

Great job guys!
