The CA technology was eagerly discussed at the PMA Fresh Summit convention held in New Orleans.

“We introduced our clients to CA reefer containers (Controlled Atmosphere). With this new technology, perishable products can stay fresh for a longer period of time. During the exhibition, we also established new contacts. And we have received several rate requests for this new technology”, says Thomas Jeppesen, Sales Executive from Blue Water Miami.

He also confirms that the first import container with fresh flowers from Colombia has been transported. The flower import business is an area we are becoming more involved in. The opportunities are there, as many flower importers fly thousands of kilos of flowers to the States on a daily basis. When sending these shipments in CA reefer containers, the transport savings are huge.

With 1000+ exhibitors and more than 19,000 attendees from 60+ countries, PMA Fresh Summit is the biggest perishable convention in the States.
