As the official logistics partner for the Sailing World Championships, Blue Water’s experts have before as well as after the championships handled loads of assignments – transport, logistics, handling and storage of goods and equipment – from small shipments to containers of equipment.

“Our assignments in connection with this big sporting event are comprehensive. In all respects it is a must that we deliver quickly and on time as the shipments contain equipment of vital importance to the sailors. There is no excuse for just one day’s delay. Being part of the sailing environment during an event like the world championships can be challenging, but also very exciting”, says Jan Dam Poulsen, Director of Blue Water Aarhus.

Over the years, Blue Water has built strong competences within logistics to exhibitions and events. The special thing about these transports is that the reliability of delivery is a top priority. All goods and equipment must arrive on time and without damages – otherwise our customers will miss the value of participating in the specific exhibition or event.

Blue Water is present during the Sailing World Championships as part of the official Race Office. The sailors and their teams will contact this office for their transport and logistics needs and they will get an answer to all their questions regarding freight.

What matters to the sailors, it not just to get their equipment to Aarhus for the world championships. After the event, most of the sailors and their equipment will continue to other destinations and events so we expect to be busy handling both small and big shipments as soon as the last medals have been awarded”, says Jan Dam Poulsen.
