Kim and Johnny on top of Africa
The doors to a usually closed world were opened one evening for a number of Blue Water’s customers
The evening offered our customers them an insight into what happens to their cargo when it has left their storeroom.
In a cooperation between Blue Water, DHL Aviation and Billund Airport, the airport was opened on Wednesday 19.9 and our customers were invited to see the cargo terminal from the inside as well as one of DHL Aviation’s impressive air freighters.
Jan Ditlevsen, Freight Manager in Billund Airport, gave our customers a guided tour of the airport and told about its history and vision. Among other things, they also witnessed how screening of cargo is performed – by ordinary X-ray as well as by manual check.
“The customers also learned about palletising procedures and the importance of observing the set cargo dimensions and adequate packaging to withstand the cargo handling in the airports”, says Trine Hollænder, Business Development Manager Air Freight from Blue Water Odense.
Finally, the customers were allowed on board an air freighter to see it from the inside. A super ending of a very interesting visit.
