Recently, Blue Water paid a visit to its customer Smurfit Kappa Corrprint A/S in Vamdrup, Denmark. We have for many years been transporting pallet cargo for the company, but they also produce reels of paper weighing between two and three tons. Blue Water has now been entrusted with transporting these reels – a job demanding extra focus on safety.

Steffen Johansen, Safety Adviser at ITD (International Transport Denmark) joined us on the visit to Smurfit Kappa in order to make calculations and consequently ensuring correct loading of the trucks. In connection with the loading operation it is important to have the proper safety equipment such as strapping band, non-slip mats and plastic caps to put on top of the reels to ensure a safe transport.

According to Blue Water the purpose of the meeting was also to prepare loading instruction benefiting all parties concerned: the client, Blue Water and our hauliers. The company is very pleased about the order and looks forward to the extended cooperation with Smurfit Kappa.
