Blue Water’s Aid & Development Logistics team in Billund also operates in the countries that are most difficult to access, such as Venezuela and Yemen which are both suffering from civil wars.

Venezuela has for long been relatively closed for import, but is slowly opening up again. Blue Water is cooperating with local partners who are now able to handle DAP shipments (Delivered at Place) in the entire country. In Yemen, we have local partners as well, and both here and in Venezuela these partners can assist our clients with jobs like customs clearance, cargo inspection, handling and delivery - even keep-cool cargo.

“The long and ongoing war in Yemen has resulted in closing down ports and airports. In our team we have worked hard to find solutions and have, despite big challenges, succeeded in finding options by sea, air and road to both Sanaá and Aden. These solutions have made delivery of all kinds of commodities possible – from small shipments to containers – to NGOs and other aid and relief organisations operating in these areas”, says Nicklas Christensen, Freight Forwarding Agent in Blue Water’s Aid & Development Logistics team in Billund, Denmark.
