Continued service by air to and from China
Utilising the AGF Aarhus Network solved member’s transport needs during the corona crisis
It is always positive when we can contribute to solving a challenge that one of the network members is facing. It is also in line with our ambition to be “Best in Town”
The corona crisis resulted in an almost complete shutdown of society, and despite the reopening of Denmark, COVID-19 leaves its traces worldwide.
During the crisis, Blue Water launched a direct scheduled freight service in cooperation with SAS Cargo and our partner Cargo Services – a so-called air bridge – with two weekly return flights between Copenhagen and Shanghai. And we have experienced a great demand for this service – not only from our regular customers.
Blue Water is a Gold Partner in the successful football club AGF. When one of the other members of the AGF Aarhus Network, Allan Nørgaard, Director of Carlounge, by chance read about our new freight service to China on LinkedIn, it was only natural for him to turn to Blue Water when he faced a big challenge in a sister company of Carlounge needing a connection to China.
“I am also at the head of BG Service Center dealing with product agency and engine parts. We are involved in the Nordic region and Europe, but we also have some overseas activities – for instance to China. However, the corona crises stopped this activity, and when it started again, the freight rates had increased considerably”, says Allan Nørgaard and continues:
“Blue Water made us a favourable offer. It also turned out that they could help with our other freight needs as more services from their product range were relevant for us”.
At Blue Water Aarhus, they are pleased to be able to assist Allan Nørgaard:
“It is always positive when we can contribute to solving a challenge that one of the network members is facing. It is also in line with our ambition to be “Best in Town”, concludes Jan Dam Poulsen, Director of Blue Water Aarhus.
