Aid & Relief distribution transport to 40 remote locations in Vietnam

The Ho Chi Minh team ensured the distribution of insect repellent nets and hammocks for NIMPE

Blue Water's Ho Chi Minh office successfully carried out a major Aid & Relief project in collaboration with the National Institute of Malariology & Parasitology & Entomology (NIMPE) in Vietnam. The project involved the distribution of 293,735 long-lasting insect repellent nets and hammocks (LLINs & LLIHNs) to 40 remote locations in Vietnam.

The team managed the complete handling of the cargo, which consisted of 13x40' high-cube containers arriving from China. This included arranging import permits and tax exemption applications, as well as customs clearance, cargo splitting, unloading, reloading and final distribution to all specified remote destinations in the country.

More than a decade of collaboration

This transport marks the 11th consecutive year that Blue Water Ho Chi Minh has been actively involved in similar projects for NIMPE. Despite challenges such as limited space and equipment during transportation, tight time frames and shortage of manpower in the market, the team successfully completed all tasks before the long Tet holiday and exceeded customer satisfaction.

Blue Water Ho Chi Minh’s General Manager Le Thi My Le, on the achievement, “Our flexibility and efficient cooperation in handling Aid & Relief goods has been recognised by the institute, as we received high appreciation on our services. We look forward to continuing our partnership over the years to come. I am both happy and proud of my team to have consistently fulfilled the client's needs beyond their expectations. It is a great start of the year.”
