Blue Water expands Billund office after decade of growth
After more than 25 years in Billund, Blue Water Shipping is strengthening its local presence with a new and larger office. The move follows a decade of significant growth, during which the number of employees in Billund has doubled.
Today, almost 70 employees are based at the Billund office, working across a broad range of specialised transport and logistics services. To support the continued growth and create more space for both collaboration and social activities, the team moved into new premises at Stratusvej 12 in June 2026.
The new office remains in the same area, maintaining Blue Water’s close connection to Billund Airport and the local business community.
“Billund has been an important part of Blue Water for more than 25 years, and a lot has happened since we first opened our doors here. Our team and activities have grown significantly, and the new office space gives us even more room to grow – while staying close to the customers, partners and local community that have been part of our journey here”, says Morten Ankjær Knudsen, Country Manager Air Freight, Denmark, at Blue Water.
Strong local roots
Blue Water opened its Billund office in March 1998 and remains one of the last logistics companies still physically present in the area.
Being close to customers, partners and the local community continues to be an important part of the Billund operation. Blue Water also supports local initiatives and sports clubs, including football, handball and Billund E-Sport.
The new office has been designed to provide employees with a modern working environment and more opportunities to meet across teams.
