Blue Water opens Johor Bahru office to strengthen project logistics support in Malaysia

The new office connects local project support with Blue Water’s specialist teams in Singapore, expanding its capacity to serve FPSO, oil and gas, mining and data centre projects

Jason Goh, Senior Vice President, Asia & CIS, Dan Nissen, Chief Operating Officer, T&L and Allen David, Managing Director, S.E.A, officially open Blue Water’s new Johor office.

Blue Water has opened an office in Johor Bahru, expanding its presence in Malaysia and strengthening support for customers operating across Malaysia.

The Johor Bahru office will bring Blue Water closer to FPSO and data centre projects in Malaysia while drawing on its Singapore team’s specialist experience in FPSO and oil and gas logistics. Together, the teams will provide customers with closer support throughout the project lifecycle.

“Singapore and Johor each bring strengths to the region’s project landscape. By connecting our teams across both locations, we can offer customers a practical balance of cost effectiveness, local presence and access to specialist expertise,” said Jason Goh, Regional Senior Vice President, Blue Water. “As FPSO and data centre customers expand their activities in Malaysia, we want to be close to the people making project decisions and the sites where work is taking place.”

The expansion will allow colleagues in Johor Bahru to learn from established teams in Singapore while bringing their own local market knowledge and experience to the wider organisation. This close collaboration will help Blue Water develop its expertise in FPSO and data centre logistics in Malaysia and respond to projects of different sizes and complexity.

“Large projects depend on many parties working on the same plan, often across several locations,” said Allen David, Managing Director, Southeast Asia, Blue Water. “Having a team in Johor Bahru will help us engage earlier with customers, understand their site and cargo requirements and coordinate delivery with our colleagues in Singapore and across Malaysia. As the team grows, so will our ability to support customers throughout the project lifecycle.”

Blue Water has served customers in Malaysia since the early 2000s. Its Shah Alam office has relocated to Klang, where the team supports FPSO, aerospace, power generation, data centres logistics, 3PL and warehousing activities. Blue Water also has an office in Labuan. The Johor Bahru office will extend this presence and strengthen the company’s support for customers operating across Singapore and Malaysia.
