Port Services & Agency
Blue Water Brest assisting Sabella again
Recently, Blue Water and CLdN ro-ro celebrated ten years of cooperation
Blue Water has proven to be a very reliable partner
So far, there have been 500 port calls. Blue Water acts as agent, terminal operator and handles loading and discharging of all cargo for CLdN.
Since 2005, CLdN's ro/ro vessels have run between Zeebrugge and the port of Esbjerg. Every Sunday, the ships have called at the port of Esbjerg carrying new cars, containers, trailers, industrial cargo and wind turbine components.
"Esbjerg has proven to be an excellent port of entry in Denmark, ideally located to serve the western part of Denmark. The service was originally based upon a general demand of the market and especially of our cargo department, CLdN Cargo, who have developed a large market share. The service has become soon popular with a larger number of customers, realising the full potential of a direct ro/ro link between Belgium and Denmark", says Steven Van Loo, Commercial Route Manager Scandinavia from CLdN.
CLdN appreciates the long-term cooperation with Blue Water.
"We are very grateful to cooperate with Blue Water, as they offer a wide range of services no matter whether it concerns stevedoring, transport or agency. Blue Water has proven to be a very reliable partner, who has shown a lot of ambition, experience, creativity and knowledge. This has led to a fruitful cooperation during the past 10 years, which has generated a lot of added value for both our companies", says Steven Van Loo.
Soren Stougaard, who is responsible for Blue Water's Danish port agency activities, has been part of the cooperation since the beginning.
"Our cooperation is based on a mutual desire to develop our companies and we have both improved our services in a competitive market. Our close cooperation with the Port of Esbjerg is also part of the success", Soren says.
Throughout the years, Blue Water has booked and supported CLdN with large volumes of cargo. The ro-ro vessels to/from Esbjerg are handled by C.Ro Ports on the Britanniadok terminal in Zeebrugge, through which swift transshipments to/from London, Killingholme, Dublin & Göteborg are possible.
