Blue Water recently signed a contract with the Danish project engineering company Semco Maritime to supply logistics support in connection with the construction of a new gas power plant in Panama.

The power plant will harness the methane gasses from a landfill site for energy, and it is the second of its kind for Semco Maritime in Central America.

The shipments for Panama will come from several locations worldwide, but the majority will originate from France. Blue Water Marseilles will coordinate the shipments out of France and will among other assignments arrange for line item check, export packing and ocean freight to Panama.

"Blue Water Marseille provides a wide range of services to the oil & gas sector including complex project transports, warehouse solutions and heavy lift assignments. Together with the rest of Blue Water the office is part of a strong worldwide oil & gas set-up", says Lionel Guilbaud, Manager of Blue Water Marseille.

Over the past decade Blue Water has been involved in many turnkey projects in connection with the constructions of power plants worldwide. This includes challenging projects in Greenland and Iceland as well as Africa, the Far East and Central America.

"We are proud to be selected as the logistics provider for this project. This is yet another testimony of the good cooperation between Semco Maritime and Blue Water Shipping", says Thomas Bek who is Global Head of Blue Water's Oil & Gas activities.
