Logistics to the energy sector

It is not a simple job to deliver services for this job in the North Sea. It includes many of Blue Water's services and requires close cooperation between departments

Earlier this year, Blue Water secured a contract with the EPC company Technip to provide logistics services - including chartering of vessels and helicopters, loading/discharging, sea fastening, welders, accommodation etc. - in connection with the execution of the subsea Valdemar & Roar Gas Lift projects on the Danish continental Shelf in the North Sea. The contract was secured through Blue Water's office in Stavanger.

Technip is a major global EPC company, with head office in Paris and with 38,000 employees, providing engineering, procurement and construction for the energy industry.

"From June, a PSV (Platform Supply Vessel) will berth at Esbjerg ten times to load in total two riser caissons and 32 spools manufactured by another one of our clients, SUB-C Partner", says Peter Gysing Nielsen, who is Head of the Agency department at Blue Water Esbjerg.

Projects like this involve several Blue Water departments in order to provide a full flexible 24/7 service of the highest quality, and being a "one stop shop", Blue Water has proven to be an important asset to the overall success of such projects.
