Blue Water opens office in Guyana
During the past three years, FLSmidth and Blue Water have intensified their cooperation in finding the best transport solutions worldwide
FLSmidth is represented in 50 countries and with a worldwide supplier network, it is important for FLSmidth to have partners with an efficient international set-up. FLSmidth delivers high-quality products, which also reflects the company’s requirements to the forwarder – both in respect of solution and price.
For many years, FLSmidth has to a greater or lesser extent been cooperating with Blue Water within different fields, including framework agreements for European Road Transport but also more project-specific assignments. Especially in recent years, Blue Water has been able to compete on many of the ad hoc assignments. By their performance, Blue Water have proved that they are able to measure up and deliver on their promises at the agreed price, quality and on time. This is no doubt the best qualifications for maintaining and developing a good and trustful cooperation”, says Finn Brandstrup, Department Manager, Freight, FLSmidth.
Blue Water´s global set-up of own offices and partners - always ready to assist with finding the perfect solution - is frequently used in the cooperation with FLSmidth.
“In our daily operational communication as well as in our dialogue in general, our cooperation is characterised by commitment, trustworthiness and flexibility. This means that the cooperation is conducted in a positive and constructive atmosphere with focus on finding the perfect solution at the first go. Blue Water has a very professional and competent approach to the cooperation”, says Mika Bothmann, Freight Manager, Logistics, FLSmidth.
In 2017, we transported equipment from most of Europe as well as India to a major project in Ukraine. Together with our colleagues in Singapore we have handled 1000 cbm from India to Vietnam by ship, where we utilised our local knowledge in Asia to find the right carrier for the transport. One of the first jobs in 2018 includes two major shipments from Constanta, Romania, which we will combine with another FLSmidth cargo in Izmir, Turkey destined for their three different projects in Pakistan.
“Our cooperation with FLSmidth is extremely interesting. We have a very constructive and positive dialogue with the approx. 15 contacts from FLSmidth, who send us inquiries for transport solutions for all kinds of cargo to different locations worldwide. Because the assignments are so diverse, we constantly have to keep one step ahead of competition to win the contracts”, says Kenneth Ruby, Key Account Manager, Blue Water and responsible for the cooperation with FLSmidth.
