New opportunities opened at Seafood Expo
Blue Water participated at the Gulfood Exhibition in Dubai promoting the company’s activities and meeting with the Danish Minister for Environment and Food

As a member of the Confederation of Danish Industry, Blue Water was part of the Danish Pavillion.
“The Gulfood exhibition is one of the biggest food events in the industry with 5,000 exhibitors and 100,000 visitors. The exhibition attracts traders, producing companies, importers and suppliers from all over the world but particularly Africa, India, the subcontinent and the Middle East is strongly represented”, says Simon Auken Skov, Business Development Manager for Reefer Logistics.
Blue Water has participated as visitors at the Gulfood on previous occasions but the chance of having their own stand was a good opportunity.
“Having our own stand gave us a better chance of promoting ourselves to new and potential clients and not least a place to host our meetings. We were represented with colleagues from São Paulo, Miami, Lisbon, Rotterdam and Esbjerg”, says Simon Auken Skov.
The Confederation of Danish Industry arranged an export campaign with the Danish Minister for Environment and Food Esben Lunde Larsen. Accompanied by a business delegation of 16 food businesses the purpose was to strengthen Danish export of food products to the Middle East.
“The minister visited our stand and we had a good talk about Blue Water. He asked us many interesting questions and we had the chance to share our insight in the Middle East as export market and the future opportunities”, says Simon Auken Skov.
In addition to the exhibition, Blue Water also participated in a reception at Dubai Marina arranged by the Confederation of Danish Industry. Among the participants were the Danish Minister and the business delegation along with several Danish business representatives who are living in Dubai, the Danish ambassador in the UEA, Merete Juul and other diplomats from the Middle East.
