Boost your international freight forwarding career

Apply as a trainee at Blue Water before the end of June and travel the world while learning about the global transport and logistics industry

The deadline to apply as an international trainee at Blue Water is nearing. If you are interested in starting a unique freight forwarding career in an international setting, make sure to apply before the end of June. The programme is a strong international business education, classified as the best programme within the industry, as well as globally, recognised as freight forwarding education of all logistics services in modern supply chain management.

As an international trainee, you start your first year at a Blue Water office in your home country. In the second year, you get the chance to work abroad in one of our worldwide offices and expand your international experience and business network. While working, your education consists of a mix of physical in-house lectures at our Blue Water Academy in Esbjerg, combined with online lectures from our own specialists who are out in the field every day.

“The programme gives the trainees a solid and broad education to become a specialist within transport and logistics. It opens up the world for them career wise with a bunch of opportunities waiting for them,” adds CEO Søren N. Thomsen.

Challenges & responsibility

Our international trainees gain knowledge and experience in various aspects of the industry, including road, sea, air and rail transport. They learn about the advantages and disadvantages of each mode of transportation and our various projects, as well as the key factors that affect the business.

“As an international trainee you will get the opportunity to dive in the transport and logistics industry, while travelling the world. That was what attracted me to the programme,” says Asta Lyngbo Carstensen, international trainee at Energy, Ports & Projects in Esbjerg, who is about to start her second year as a trainee in Singapore.

“I get to see how we work globally and gain a network all around the world. The highlight of my traineeship so far, was when I carried out an urgent delivery to Guyana. It was a pleasure to be given this responsibility, being only five months into my traineeship and new to the team. It felt great to get their full support and trust - and successfully carry out the delivery! It also gave me the opportunity to visit another office and meet local colleagues. This is the experience that attracted me to apply as a trainee.”
