Focus on employee development
With focus on employee development, we establish the Blue Water Academy
To ensure that Blue Water has the best employees in the industry, we have chosen to strengthen our focus on employee development by expanding our internal "Learning and Development" function.
This means, among other things, that we have employed Daniel Frausing Borch as responsible for a further development of our in-house academy. Daniel comes from a similar position at BBOXX which is a UK solar energy company with offices around the world.
Daniel Frausing Borch, Senior Specialist, Blue Water Esbjerg, says: "Blue Water is a company with a long tradition of focusing on employee development, and the establishment of an academy will strengthen the quality and quantity of programmes we can offer our employees. Our long-term goal for the academy is to have development opportunities for all employees in the organisation.
We look forward to physical and online education in the new Blue Water Academy. Photo was taken before corona.
This means that whether you are a newly hired freight forwarder, office manager, employed in Esbjerg or Dubai, we have the programmes. Thinking learning into everything we do is an important foundation.
Traditionally, learning has in most companies implied employees sent on a course, but we now realise that the efficiency of learning increases if we think in a wider sense: For instance, a course of development containing several elements such as on the job training, coaching, special project and classroom training
will have a greater impact".
The Blue Water Academy facilities are at the HQ’s fifth floor and expected to be ready for occupancy at the end of April.
With a group of partners, Blue Water has taken a big step towards realising a project with great climate potential.
