Blue Water’s team in Marseille, handling Oil, Gas & Industrial Projects, has completed a huge towage project for Joseph Paris. Joseph Paris is a company under the Fayat Group - the French leading steel construction company headquartered in Bordeaux and employing more than 21,000 people.

“Blue Water was awarded the contract in June 2018, and our scope of work included engineering, towage preparation, voyage plan, manual towage, certification, inspection etc.
The cargo - lock gate measuring 42 x 9.5 x 15 metres/1225 tons - was towed from Saint Nazaire to destination Toulon – a voyage of more than 1,700 NM (nautical miles) within 20 days. The very sensitive job went as planned, and the lock gate was handed over to the local authorities on 10 May to the client’s complete satisfaction”, says Lionel Guilbaud, Oil & Energy Project Director in Blue Water France.

“We look forward to assisting Joseph Paris again in connection with other challenging projects in the coming years”.
